Tasting Notes

From two sources on the Puligny side. Pale colour with a rather backward nose. There is impressive concentration to this, it is proper Bâtard. Sweet white fruit, balanced oak, a little bit of pear and peach and banana but well balanced. Tasted: November 2019

93/96
Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, January 2020

Aromas of waxy citrus rind, marzipan, white flowers and warm pastry introduce the 2018 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot), a full-bodied, ample and enveloping wine that's layered, textural and lively, concluding with a nicely defined finish.

92/94
William Kelley, Wine Advocate (Jan 20 Wee), January 2020

Light reduction with sweet vanilla, and layered stone fruits on the nose. Structured and oily on the palate. A wine of depth and structure but equal freshness, with long and persistent stone fruit at the core.
