Chapelle Chambertin, Louis Jadot 2018
The 2018 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has a very attractive, pure, well-defined bouquet of red cherries, wild strawberry, sous-bois and light orange pith aromas that gain intensity with aeration. The medium-bodied palate displays supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. A little peppery in style, with a touch of brown spice toward the finish. This is a well-crafted Chapelle-Chambertin. 2024 - 2050

The 2018 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) offers up a lovely bouquet of wild berries, peonies, orange rind, licorice and smoky soil tones. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, concentrated and fine-boned, with refined structuring tannins, a lively core of fruit and a long, perfumed finish. As usual, this is showing very well.

Ripe, almost brambly fruits on the nose here. Lots of power, with a dense core of red and black fruits. Spicy and chalky, there are layers of structure here that build through the mid palate for a bold and muscular finish. One to lay down, but given the length on the finish it should reward those with patience.
