Tasting Notes

The 2009 Barolo Sarmassa delivers a polished and focused quality that hits the nose in a sharp and determined manner. The wine totally awakens your senses and the natural firmness of the tannins gives the mouthfeel a dry or tight aspect. The bouquet is absolutely beautiful here with dried flowers, licorice, cola, mint and loads of brimstone or pencil lead. Gorgeous. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2028.
