Clos des Lambrays, Domaine Taupenot-Merme 2009

Noticeable but not dominant wood fights a bit with the otherwise fresh and quite earthy red berry fruit nose that complements the rich, round, supple and highly complex medium-bodied flavors that possess a relatively refined mouth feel and culminate in a mouth coating mocha-infused finish that delivers very impressive length. While there is too much wood for my personal preference, it should eventually be largely, if not completely, eaten.
