Bright garnet with strong brickish red rim. Utterly fragrant even though there is still plenty of sweet oak vanillin in evidence. The oak is more noticeable on the palate but even here the fragrant red fruit fills the mouth with fresh scent more than sweetness. Then there's also a dark liquorice note which adds depth and power. Firm, smooth, dry tannins. Already complex but so much more to come. Lovely label too - feather on black background. Drink between 2010-2016
