Vosne Romanée Les Brûlées, Domaine d'Eugénie 2018

Tasting Notes

A clear bright and even ruby purple. The bouquet is very fine, extremely elegant, with a sense of grace. Fully ripe fruit, lifted by the optimum admixture of stems and their white pepper. Gloriously sensual on the palate up front, a little drier behind but with such energy to come. Drink from 2033. Tasted: September 2022

A more elegant and slightly cooler nose combines nuances from both the red and dark side of the fruit spectrum along with hints of exotic tea, spice and sandalwood. The vibrant and almost delicate flavors possess a lilting mouthfeel before culminating in a lightly stony reasonably well-balanced finale as the only nit is a minor hint of warmth. Drink: 2030+
Note: from a 1.16 ha parcel of 60+ year old vines; there are two sections, one upper and one lower and this cuvée now uses only the upper portion
