Tasting Notes

An elegant, spicy and pure ripe red and black berry nose introduces sappy, rich, full and sweet big-boned flavors that are very Vosne in character as this is seductive, sweet and mouth coating on the velvety finish. There is real breed here and while Echézeaux is routinely criticized for not delivering a grand cru experience, this isn't one of those examples as the material is persuasively impressive.

Good deep red-ruby. Ineffable perfume of raspberry, rose petal, minerals and licorice. Juicy, racy and quite fine, with lovely subtle sweetness and lift. Pungently spicy, perfumed wine with a very long, vibrant finish. Built to age but this is very sexy today.

Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, April 2007

Very fragrant nose and a bit angular on the palate. Lots of acidity, punch and attack. Dry framework. Confident stuff. Real lift rather than just weight. All these wines are airborne with no resort to sweet trickery of overreliance on oak. Promises well. Impressive persistence with a really refreshing kick.
