The plot of 192m square has produced one mini-barrel of 90 litres, made with whole bunches. Fine bright purple, the nose is not of the same level as the Chambertin Clos de Bèze but the whole bunch explosion on the palate is really pretty, and very intense too with an exceptionally long aftertaste. Very good concentration for the vintage
There are some 80 liters of the 2017 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru, the smallest cuvée produced in Burgundy this year, and the wine will charm any consumers who are able to find one of the rare bottles. Offering up notes of rose petal, orange rind, dark chocolate and raspberries, it's medium to full-bodied, sappy and flavorful, with satiny tannins, a juicy core of fruit and a long, fragrant finish.
