Tasting Notes

Aromas of grilled pineapple, clove, lemon peel, lime pith and green mango. White pepper, crushed stones and some cedar, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with bright acidity. Layered and very long. Serious white. Needs time to open and show more Exceptional form here. Drink from 2023.

The 2019 Malartic Lagraviere Blanc exhibits aromas of grapefruit, white peach, confit citrus and pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, it's an ample, rather soft wine with an open-knit core and an expansive finish. Drink date 2021 - 2029

William Kelley, RobertParker.com (April 2022), April 2022

A blend of 76.1% Sauvignon Blanc and 23.9% Semillon, the 2019 Malartic Lagraviere Blanc needs a fair bit of swirling to unlock notes of lemongrass, grapefruit, and sea spray with hints of orange blossom and coriander seed. The medium-bodied palate is seriously tightly wound, with taut citrus and chalky layers and a crisp backbone, finishing with great length.

Strikes a balance between flint and creamy stone fruits, with pulses of fennel that add just the right amount of bitterness. Great momentum through the palate, this is really an excellent wine full of life and vivacity, feels skilful and makes you want to go back for more. Harvest September 4 to 16.

Mineral and pithy on the nose, this is full of grapefruit and tart lemons. The palate shows some waxyness that adds breadth, with the hint of oak adding sweetness and complexity. Zesty acids give a mineral, lithe finish.

Really intense and powerful with great density and energy, showing sliced limes, green apples, stone and minerals. It’s full-bodied and very long. Extremely minerally with precision and brightness. Clear and transparent. Wow.

Composed of 76.1% Sauvignon Blanc and 23.9% Semillon, the 2019 Blanc was harvested from the 4th of September to the 16th of September. It is aging on the lees in French oak barrels, 55% new, for an anticipated 12-14 months. It comes skipping out of the glass with vivacious, cheery scents of white grapefruit, lime leaves and orange blossoms with wafts of white peaches, coriander seed and beeswax. Medium to full-bodied, I LOVE the intensity and texture on the palate, with an electric line of freshness and loads of citrus and mineral layers paving the finish.
