Once again there is plenty of wood surrounding the distinctly earthy aromas of red and dark berries where a pretty top note of violet appears. The relatively supple and forward flavors aren't dilute but neither are they dense, all wrapped in a firm, austere and solidly complex and persistent finish. This is pretty and I like the depth but it would be fair to say that it is not at its usual level.
