Gevrey Chambertin, Domaine Claude Dugat 2017

Tasting Notes

**Note: from the villages portion of La Bossière among other parcels**
A more deeply pitched nose reflects aromas of humus-inflected red and dark currant that display hints of earth and leather. The supple yet reasonably well-detailed medium weight flavors possess a lovely mouthfeel before concluding in a youthfully austere finish where a touch of wood arises.

Tasted from bottle, the 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village is a pretty and immensely charming wine bursting with aromas of cherries, raspberries, bergamot and rose petals, with little hint of the savory complexity to come with bottle age. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent, with lively acids, appealing purity of fruit and a precise finish.
