Tasting Notes

Fantastic bouquet - focused, pure, ripe, varietal and complex with aromas of wild berries and fresh red flowers, silt stony minerality, mushroom and fine oak complexity. On the palate - complex, detailed and texture driven. Flavours of berries and dried herb, stony silty soils and baking spices of clove. Tannins are abundant, firm and ripe, acidity medium+. Lengthy finish with a mealy textured mouthfeel. Well made and ready to enjoy from late 2021 through 2029+.

Cameron Douglas MS, camerondouglasms.com, December 2020

Mid ruby colour with a pure and vibrant nose of red fruit. There is real finesse and aromatic lift with floral overtones making for an enticing complexity. The palate is already soft and silky with refined tannins allowing the ripe but vibrant red fruit to shine through. There is the slightest hint of spice but it is a welcome layer of complexity rather than any dominating note. The finish is long, and elegant, with a savoury hint to make it very moreish. Drink now and over the next decade.

Farr Vintners, Farr Tasting, October 2020

Vibrant, high-energy and quite concentrated pinot noir with black cherry, dried herbs, brambles, pepper and anise flavours. A firmly-structured red with obvious cellaring potential.
