Reduction presently dominates the nose though there is good freshness to the caressing and generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors that also possess excellent mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a powerful yet refined and slightly more complex finale. Lovely.
(vinified with one-third whole clusters; from low-altitude vines planted on humid compact clay): Bright medium ruby. Attractive lift to the aromas of black raspberry, dried flowers, cocoa powder and smoky minerality; a rather fresh version of this cuvée. The palate offers a near-ideal combination of vibrancy and subtle sweetness, with noteworthy density provided by the site's position in a cool combe. Finishes with nicely supported tannins and excellent length.
