The 2014 Bolgheri Rosso Il Bruciato tastes like a wine from a much warmer vintage - not the soggy and difficult 2014 vintage that had winemakers so worried. This blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 15% Syrah (aged in oak for seven months) shows dark fruit and spice with good intensity and integration. The mouthfeel might be a bit shorter and quick to fade, but this is a solid drinking wine that I happily recommend. Some 800,000 bottles are produced.
