Opaque purple in the glass. Heady and rich on the nose, with smoky blackberry and damson fruit lined with liquorice and hints of tar - you can really feel the weight of Syrah in the blend. The palate is massively concentrated, a heady concoction of roasted figs and blackberries accented with sweet spice and espresso. Very impressive, thick and rich, bolstered further by mouthcoating chalky tannins. A real blockbuster in style.
