Tasting Notes

Deepish red purple, lighter rim, oak on the nose. Dense red fruit with a savoury note. The Jadot holding is furnished with ancient Clair Dau vines from the 1920s. Their 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin is mindblowing on the palate, not just for the intensity, but the nobility. Old vines happy in their work and still in very good health! A truly superb length of flavour. Tasted: October 2020

Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, December 2020

One of the highlights of the range, the 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) mingles aromas of sweet red berries with hints of raw cocoa, spices, licorice, loamy soil and truffles. Medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, it's velvety and concentrated, with considerable depth and mid-palate amplitude despite its elegant, seamless profile.

William Kelley, RobertParker.com, January 2021

Mid ruby in colour. Succulent red fruits, cherry blossom and hints of fine savoury spices on the nose. The palate starts with a silky texture that allows the bright, vibrant red fruit to shine through. The structure builds through the mid palate, with mouthcoating tannins and vibrant acidity bringing real elegance and purity to this wine. The finish is very long, with real purity of red fruit.
