Tasting Notes

The hardest wine to make," says Andrea Mullineux of this Chenin Blanc from a nutritionpoor vineyard on the Kasteelbeg. But the effort is certainly worth it. Showing aromas of white flowers and gunflint, it has amazing focus, salinity and depth with linear acidity and notes of green apple, kitchen spices and umami. 2021-27

The 2018 Granite Chenin Blanc has a touch more vibrancy on the nose than its 2017 counterpart due to its youth, showing bigger and glossier because of it. The medium to full-bodied palate is finessed and powerful, with mineral-driven citrus blossoms and a spicy edge over pineapple fruit. Well done! 2020 - 2035
