A perfumed, pretty and super-fresh nose remains quite primary with plenty of earth and truffle elements to the mostly red berry fruit scents. There is excellent energy to the intense and beautifully delineated and mineral-driven flavors that are shaped by bright acidity and moderately firm tannins on the complex and long if mildly lean and youthfully austere finish. This is really quite pretty and the natural refinement of Ruchottes is on display but it would be fair to observe that this is not a seductive effort. Moreover, it will need to add a bit of flesh over the next few years to merit my rating.
