Here an expressive nose is spicier, and a bit more deeply pitched with its array of bright red and dark currant, floral and jasmine tea scents. The sleek and delicious medium weight flavors possess better volume on the precise, mildly austere and linear finish. This balanced effort is a quality Vosne villages and sufficiently structured to reward a decade plus of cellaring. Note: a monopole measuring .57 ha; 40% whole clusters Drink: 2029+
Containing 40% whole cluster, the 2019 Vosne-Romanée Le Clos d'Eugénie presents a mixture of red berry fruit, espresso and light truffle aromas, nicely delineated and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, plenty of energy and more tension and precision on the finish than the Vosne-Romanée Village. Much more classic in style compared to the d’Eugénie wines of the past. 2024 - 2038
