Dominio do Bibei Tinto 2016

Tasting Notes

Bright ruby colored, the eponymous 2016 Dominio Do Bibei is mostly Brancellao (with 20% Mouratón), a lighter and more fragile grape variety that can produce the most elegant wines from the zone. This wine is floral, delicate and perfumed, with a medium body, very fine tannins and very good freshness in a vintage like 2016. It was selected from different vineyards, fermented destemmed in open barrels and matured in barrel and oak vat. This expresses like no other the combination of elegance and rusticity the region is capable of. And it also combines the wilder and the more commercial profile to make it understandable and pleasant for a wider audience and not only to the wine geeks. 1,963 bottles were filled in July 2018. Drink 2020 - 2027.
