Echézeaux, Domaine Jean Grivot 2018

A spicier nose flashes equally good complexity but the aromatic composition is different as here the fruit is both darker and more floral-inflected. The rich, palate drenching and very suave, indeed even velvety, flavors possess a dusty and exceptionally long if mildly warm finish where a deft but not invisible touch of wood surfaces. This wonderfully sleek and naturally sweet effort isn't quite as structured, but it is still a wine that should amply reward 15 plus years of cellaring.
