Gevrey Brunelle, Domaine Joseph Roty 2018

Tasting Notes

**Note: Roty is one of two producers**
Moderate wood is present on the very ripe yet still reasonably fresh aromas of baked plum, warm earth and a whiff of the sauvage. There is very good intensity and energy to the delicious and slightly less concentrated but sleeker middle weight flavors thanks to the relatively fine-grained tannins shaping the mildly austere finale where a hint of rusticity slowly surfaces. This is a bit more forward and a wine that should drink reasonably well after only 5-ish or so years.
