Maury, L'Archiviste 1977

Tasting Notes

Amber in colour with a brilliant, rich nose of earthy dried fruits, bitter chocolate and dried orange peel. Silky on the palate, there is a touch of marmalade to this wine that offers base and high tones in equal measure. Deft sweetness is cut by acidity and grip, promoting smoky tones of roasted chestnut and old wood. Tangy with a hint of salinity and light coffee tones on a very long finish.
