Tasting Notes

Geneviève Bartet was Bruno Clair's mother and the wine was made by him. (note: this was labeled as Domaine G. Bartet). A relatively fresh and elegant nose features notes of secondary red and dark fruit aromas trimmed in hints of sous-bois, spice, forest floor and plenty of sauvage elements. The rich, delicious and attractively vibrant medium weight flavors exude evident minerality on the impressively complex and highly persistent finish where the only nit is a touch of warmth. This is really very good and is a wine that should continue to drink well for some years to come.
