Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Domaine Bruno Clair 2019

Tasting Notes

**Note: two-thirds of the .98 ha parcel of vines was planted in 1912 and the remainder in 1973**
Even spicier liqueur-like aromas of plum, violet and earth are present on the cool and beautifully layered nose. There is very fine volume, power, richness and concentration to the powerful big-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract while delivering outstanding length on the complex, balanced and robust finale. This youthfully austere effort is packed with development potential and should also age effortlessly.

Fine bright colour, with a very charming bouquet of medium depth, light reduction, dense rich strawberry notes, a little dry behind but very good ripe fruit nonetheless. Just not quite in place at the moment There could be more of an upside in due course.
