Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Pascale Marchand / Marchand-Tawse / Domaine Tawse 2013

A ripe, discreetly spicy and restrained cool red berry fruit nose displays notes of freshly turned earth, violet and sandalwood. There is excellent richness and overt power to the relatively refined medium weight plus flavors thanks to the fine-grained tannins that coat the mouth on the solidly long finish where a touch of wood surfaces. This is not super dense but it is well-balanced and should age well too.
