Tasting Notes

It was hard to make a bad wine in 1999, says Pierre Clape. There was nothing to do, the grapes ripened to perfection. Aromatically this is going through a slightly closed period, just some thyme and rosemary peeking out, so leave for a year or two. Distinctly round and generous on the palate however, juicy and fresh, harmonious and well-balanced. Despite the lick of berry fruit in the background, it's a very savoury style in 1999.
