Chassagne Montrachet Enseigneres, Etienne Sauzet 2018

Tasting Notes

A barely perceptible whiff of the exotic can be found on the white peach, petrol, lemon zest and soft rosemary oil nuances. There is both good volume and energy to the appealingly textured medium weight flavors that possess reasonably good detail on the delicious and balanced finish. This is a quality Chassagne villages that needs to develop a bit more depth, but it should be capable of that if allowed time. Note: from 40+ year old vines located in Les Encégnières, which is directly below and abuts Bâtard; 20% new wood
