Puligny Montrachet, Trezin, Joseph Colin 2019

Tasting Notes

The high elevation of this vineyard is apparent as the nose is much cooler and more elegant as well with its layered aromas of floral, spice and citrus scents. There is both more volume and mid-palate density to the more intense and more mineral-inflected middle weight flavors that conclude in a compact, youthfully austere and beautifully persistent finale. This is a terrific Puligny villages that is worth your interest.

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Le Trézin is lovely, wafting from the glass with notes of lemon, confit citrus, mint and blanched almonds. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, it's pillowy and elegant, with lively acids and a mineral finish. This is a pretty, fine-boned wine that comes warmly recommended.
