Barbaresco Bernadot, Ceretto 2019

Tasting Notes

The 2019 Ceretto Barbaresco Bernadot has lots of creamy, white chocolate and sweet oak-spice notes on the nose, with just-ripe strawberries and fresh earth notes. It is very firmly structured with plenty of tannins and acidity but the tannins are super-refined, like compressed chalk in texture and nature. The fruit is reticent right now, with slightly cool or green-toned red fruits, but there is a nice concentration. Elegant and refined, it is held back a little right now but it is very young and needs time to open up. Wait for two to three years before beginning to drink - it should last 20 years plus.
