Tasting Notes

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Au Closeau 1er Cru has a fresh red berry nose laced with orange blossom and light marmalade notes. The fresh palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, crunchy black fruit and quite a lot of wood tannins on the finish. They will become more enmeshed once racked. Fine.
