Chambolle Musigny Feusselottes, Cecile Tremblay 2010

Tasting Notes

Mild reduction knocks down the fruit but there is no such problem with the vibrant, detailed and admirably intense mineral-driven middle weight flavors that possess the same wonderfully fine-grained tannins as most of the wines in the range in 2010. The delineation is superb and this really is like rolling rocks around in your mouth, indeed this has the mouth feel of a great Meursault "Perrières". Note: from a .5 ha parcel that was originally purchased with Dr. Georges Mugneret and divided in half

The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes is open and totally seductive, especially in its sweet, candied bouquet. Red berries, flowers, mint and spices develop later, adding considerable complexity. Clean streaks of minerality support the long, beautifully articulated finish. The Feusselottes is all class and elegance. I loved it. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025.
