The Caillerets offers up a very typical bouquet of white flowers, chalky soil tones and citrus zest, followed by a full-bodied, tense and mineral palate. It doesn't have the depth or concentration of a great vintage, but is sure to give a great deal of pleasure in the comparatively near term.
Just one barrel of this wine, first made in 2014. Fresh tight and concentrated, with a chiselled stony nose, a wealth of fruit in the mouth, bordering on over-ripeness. Undeniably weighty with a little touch of sucrosity.
