Bordeaux En Primeur
The Farr Vintners tasting team – our entire sales department - spent the first week of April 2008 crunching the gravel drives of the leading Chateaux of Bordeaux. We were accompanied, as always, by the wise and vastly experienced, Barry Phillips. Barry, who used to run the White Horse Inn at Chilgrove, is one of Britain’s most knowledgeable wine experts with over 40 years experience in tasting and buying en primeur. We tasted barrel samples from all the top producers, many twice or three times and our overview of the vintage is contained in the En Primeur Report.
Tasting notes, scores and recommendations relating to individual wines, as well as reviews by leading independent wine writers such as Jancis Robinson MW, James Suckling, Decanter Magazine and The Wine Advocate are included alongside each wine. We show estimated prices which will be replaced with definite prices as wines are released throughout May and June. Customers may "pre-order" wines before they are released (we will only invoice you if the price is within our estimate) or simply "wish-list" them so that you receive an e-mail from us on the day of release.
