Farr Vintners is particularly proud of its selection of ancient Vin Doux Naturels, which have impressed many of our customers in recent tastings. We are currently shipping a new batch of wines from vintages ending with a "9" so that customers born in 1969, 1959 and 1949 can celebrate their milestone birthdays in 2009 with their birth year wines.

Churton - Fantastic new vintages

We are pleased to announce the release of the new vintages from this boutique New Zealand producer. Churton's winemaking is concentrated on producing just two wines: high quality Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from the Marlborough region of New Zealand's South Island.

Domaine de Trevallon is situated in stunningly beautiful countryside near the Medieval town of Les Baux de Provence about 25 km east of Avignon at the edge of the Rh�ne Valley. We tasted a cask sample recently and were hugely impressed by this brilliant wine which is, in our view, the greatest young Trevallon that we have ever tried.

With the prices of many of the most highly rated 2005s already much higher than original en primeur release, it is good news for drinkers that some second wines remain available at opening prices. The buying team at Farr Vintners has been busy in the last few weeks squeezing some great deals out of our suppliers. We have recently purchased the following wines, which are all brand new to our list. Most have ratings around 90 points, yet they are priced between �8 and �20 per bottle. We are convinced that these wines represent the best Bordeaux deals in the UK wine trade today!

Last Thursday evening we sent out our Summer Sale offer and the response has been incredible - over one million Pounds worth of wine sold in two working days! We have now updated the list and have further reduced the prices of many wines that hadn't already sold out. These are shown in red on the list.
