When it comes to fine wine storage the conditions under which the wines are stored is of utmost importance. All of our wines, including wines held on behalf of our customers, are stored at Octavian's underground storage facility in Wiltshire. Octavian, part of the CERT Group, is the UK's premier bonded wine, warehousing and distribution company and, through continuous investment, offers ideal conditions for wine storage.

Endorsed by leading oenologists, Octavian's spacious underground cellars offer computerised temperature and humidity control and a vibration and sunlight-free environment ensuring that wines are stored in perfect conditions. Octavian has an enviable security record and any wine that you choose to store with Farr Vintners is automatically insured for its full replacement value.

We currently employ a team of 20 staff who work exclusively for Farr Vintners and control all operations from receiving and checking to preparing wines for export.We pioneered the use of photography in checking the condition of wines received and now all wines over a certain age or value are carefully photographed and these photos are stored on our system. For many merchants warehousing can be a weak link in the chain but, as Octavian's most important customer we have an excellent relationship with them and feel that our fulfilment capabilities are unrivalled.

Farr Vintners offers three month's free storage on all purchases from the date of invoicing. En primeur wines do not incur storage charges until October of the year that they arrive into our warehouse. For example, customers who purchased Bordeaux 2007 en primeur will not incur storage charges until October 2010.
