As one might reasonably expect given the Vergisson appellation, this is both more elegant and stonier with a relatively cool and airy nose of citrus and white peach. The textured, round and delicious flavors are easy to like but there is good depth on the lemony and reasonably persistent finish.
This is made from vines that are just outside the appellation of Pouilly Fuissé situated on the "Roche de Vergisson". Alcoholic and malolactic fermations took place entirely in barrels of which 15% were new. The wine has a very enticing bouquet of melons, peaches, pears and lychees. On the palate there is a nice touch of exotic fruit but behind that there is a good bite of acidity and a mineral character, with a twist of lemon and lime. Impeccably balanced, long in the mouth, forward and approachable. Extremely attractive already but will age well for 3-4 years. Delicious and very highly recommended by us.
Very striking nose. Satin textured palate. Lots of oomph and still quite tense. Drink 2011-2016
Crisp yet creamy. Great value for money and no-one would be disappointed with this at your dinner party.
