Tasting Notes

This large estate has produced a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 46% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot offering up notes of roasted herbs and licorice, red and black currants. Medium-bodied, relatively lush and fruity in style, it can be drunk over the next 5-6 years.

A member of the Alliance des Crus Bourgeois du Medoc.

Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (205), March 2013

Tasted twice, a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, there is a slightly roasted quality on the nose, dried herbs and scorched earth. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins, missing a little fruit this year with a dry, slightly austere finish. Tasted April 2011.

Solid core of ripe fruit with toasted oak and chocolate character. Full and chewy

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, April 2011

Distinctive autumnal notes on the nose. Fresh and vital and relatively lightweight but very serious. Round and polished on the palate. Full of appeal and with just a bit of leafiness to stop it being sickly. Lots of pure pleasure and confident attack here. Appetising. Sinewy.

Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, April 2011

Nicely presented ripe fruit, good balance and length, lovely balance. Drink 2014-20.
