A deep ruby/purple color and scents of white flowers, crushed rocks, raspberries, and cherries are accompanied by hard, shrill tannins. Representing the essence of minerality, the 2004 Beausejour-Duffau would benefit from more charm, flesh, and texture. Nevertheless, the terroir’s nobility is apparent. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2018.
