No tasting note given.
Tasted blind at the 2007 bordeaux horizontal in southwold. A great showing of de Fieuzal Blanc that surpasses all my previous experiences. The mineralite shines through with crushed stone and "morning dew" aromas. Imagine breathing in the dawn air on an Dorset Farm! Fresh and lively. The palate is well balanced with a crisp entry, bright flavours of orange zest and tangerine, a hint of honeydrew melon, leading to a very harmonious finish. Ignore at your peril. Tasted January 2011
Pinched and tight and introvert. Very chalky and chewy. Strictly for refreshment value rather than complexity
Good bright lemony color. Candied lemon peel, pineapple, peach, fresh apricot and subtle leesy nuances on the rather serious nose. Very ripe but with the vintage's excellent cut to the stone fruit and spice flavors. A sweet and voluminous wine with lovely intensity and length. Nicely integrated, fresh acidity frames the fruit and gives the finish a firm edge.
Nettly, leafy aromas with lanolin and honey. Palate has soft, round texture with complex flavour and good balance. Interesting and fresh. Not intense but well judged. Finishes a little short. Drink 2011-16. 3 stars.
This displays good intensity on the nose, slightly grassy, touch of chalk dust, nice lift. A soft entry, clean, a little low in acidity but there are some attractive grassy flavours coming through with touches of cut lime, bitter lemon and gravel. Cuts off rather short on the finish but not bad at all. Tasted April 2008.
