In much the same fashion as the Champs Canet, generous but not dominating wood slowly fades into the background with air to allow the honeysuckle, citrus and ripe pear scents to take center stage. There is good volume and verve to the attractively, even seductively textured medium weight flavors that possess really lovely intensity along with fine acid support on the strikingly persistent finish. In the classic mode of a fine Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet this isn't particularly powerful or concentrated but rather it is a wine of harmony and grace albeit one with terrific potential.
