The 2011 Dolcetto d'Alba (fermented in cement and stainless steel and aged for nine months in botte grande) opens with a beautifully dark ruby color that shines bright in the glass. It presents varietal characteristics of forest berry, blueberry, pressed flowers and a touch of white almond skin at the back. Fruit is sourced from the Rue and Monrobiolo della Bussia vineyards and was harvested approximately two weeks earlier given the warmth of the vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018.
