Gevrey Chambertin Combottes, Domaine Dujac 2006

A wonderfully elegant, fresh and ripe nose of red berry fruit is nuanced by Gevrey earth and obvious minerality that continues onto the rich, full and distinctly refined flavors that display controlled power and focus on the dense, long and serious finish. Oddly, given the character of the vintage, this seems more masculine, indeed distinctly muscular, than normal yet it carries the additional weight with grace and harmony.
