Tasting Notes

**Note: from a .44 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines located in Les Rouges du Bas**
A restrained, even shy nose features notes of very ripe and discreetly spicy black fruit and warm earth that can also be found on the rich, supple and very round medium-bodied flavors that possess very good volume if perhaps not quite the density of the Clos de Vougeot. The complex and wonderfully persistent finish really coats the mouth with dry extract but even so, the palate impression is of a tightly wound and very serious wine. Excellent.
