Nuits St Georges Les Roncières, Domaine Jean Grivot 2010

A relatively high-toned and quite pure nose speaks of floral and earth hints together with the ripe red berry fruit aromas with particular emphasis on raspberry. The attractively rich, round and focused flavors are quite supple and seductively textured, indeed this is almost lacy. There is fine complexity and the finish evidences only a minimal amount of the usual robustness one associates with this terroir though I don't wish to suggest that there isn't plenty of underlying structure as this should need a full decade of cellar time. Lovely and really very pure.
