Vosne Romanee Suchots, Domaine Hudelot-Noellat 2011

An adroit application of wood frames equally restrained but more overtly spiced aromas of black fruit and high-toned floral nuances. This is richer and slightly more full-bodied though with less obvious minerality to the medium-bodied flavors that possess a silky texture, all wrapped in a more structured and even more persistent finish. There is a bit of wood on the finish as well but my score assumes that this will be more fully integrated in time. I should also point out that there is noticeable gas on the finish so if you're going to try a bottle young I would advise decanting it first. Drink 2019+
