Tasting Notes

Cogno’s 2009 Barolo Ravera shows a steady delivery of black fruit, leather, anise, black cherry, licorice and white truffle. Like the Barolo Cascina Nuova the aromas are not quite as focused as they could be. The wine shows a solid grip in the mouth with tightly woven tannins folded within its texture. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025.
