Tasting Notes

The 2002 performed less impressively from bottle than it did from cask, seemingly dropping much of its fruit and body and showing a rather lean, austere, herbaceous, traditionally made style without much charm or intensity. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.

A beautiful, value-priced effort from the Delon family, the deep ruby/purple-colored 2002 Potensac exhibits an excellent, sweet, pure nose of black currants, cherries, earth, and mineral notes. Medium-bodied and ripe, with well-integrated acidity and tannin, it will be drinkable between 2005-2012.
