A spicy and attractively fresh and ripe nose offers up notes of cassis, black raspberry and sandalwood. There is a sleek mouth feel to the vibrant and delicious middle weight flavors that are shaped by a much firmer, indeed even robust, tannic spine on the borderline rustic finale.
The 2015 Vosne-Romanée Aux Réas has an elegant bouquet with perfumed kirsch and crushed strawberry aromas, a hint of vanilla in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin, quite dense in the mouth with sappy red berry fruit on the finish. Give this 2-3 years to lose some of its nascent sinew.
