Firm reduction renders the nose difficult to evaluate. Otherwise there is admirably good concentration to the refined flavors that exhibit plenty of minerality on the mouth coating, intense and long finish where a hint of bitter lemon arises. This very classy effort can't quite match the complexity of the Genevrières though the underlying material is such that more will probably develop if allowed sufficient time. Drink: 2021+
A sleek, lemon-infused style, with hints of flowers and spices. The vivid structure keeps this racy and defined, showing tension on the linear profile and long, mineral-infused aftertaste. Best from 2017 through 2025. 50 cases imported.
A bright lemon colour in the glass, this exudes ripe citrus and oily, creamy richness on the nose, with just a hint of smoky spice. The palate has superb viscosity and weight, with creamy citrus and a touch of peach coming through. The acidity of the vintage washes through the mid palate and brings more blossom-like flavours, before the complexity of spiciness and lees contact push the intense fruits through to a very long finish. This wine exhibits great flavour, texture and above all harmony despite its richness. A real knockout wine that is already showing superbly.
